My tattoos have started scabbing and I've recently switched to using lotion; as I've been told by my artist to do so after 3 days of using A&D.

The scabbing is... very strange. I mean, it's totally normal, but it feels strange. I guess that sounds a little ridiculous, but there you have it.

Also, they're really itchy. I know this, too, is normal and all part of it, but it's not fun. I've just been carefully scratching around it though, so if I can last another week or so I should be fine.

I'm getting Ukraine done in time for AZ, England is now more of a maybe, and I'll have a Holland! Things are pretty awesome.

...I still need a Holland icon. :c

Well, that was... fun, actually. A touch embarrassing at times, but wow does it feel good to see how much I've improved. :)

So, I decided on four new year resolutions instead of just making stuff up as I go along throughout the year or whatever. I have goals now, so let's see how I do, hm?

I'll list them all out even though I am a dork and have a spreadsheet for it and my progress... what can I say, I love making lists haha~

My new year resolutions~
⇒ Read one book a month or 12 books total in 2010
⇒ Draw one [good] picture every month
⇒ Do NaNoWriMo Even if I don't get 50k words I am STILL TRYING!
⇒ Get healthy/healthier

I wanted to add "Write one good/finished drabble/fic every month" too but then I remembered NaNoWriMo, and I think all my writing effort should go to that when it comes round, so I'll be spending my other months planning my NaNoWriMo work... when I'm not reading and drawing and working out haha.

So yes, let's hope I go through with all of this.

I haven't drawn anything this month [it's only Jan 2en but STILL] because ow my wrist, but I am reading The Scarlet Pimpernel [I just started! I'm on page 11 haha xD; Don't tell me any spoilers, please! ;3;] so I'm at least working on one of these things... Also I am a cheater and am counting the fact I drink nothing but water and don't eat any junk food as part of my "getting healthier" thing, and I have some planning stuff done for NaNoWriMo, so WOO I AM MAKING GOOD PROGRESS! xD

Speaking of my tattoos [no, really, I mentioned one of them at the beginning of that paragraph!] I've decided I'll try to take a good picture a week and then post it at the end of the month so you new guys who friended me [hi!] can see the healing process and all. And I'm talking about just my white tatt, because, well... everyone knows how black tattoos heal up.

I'll talk about it a bit some as I am still excited about it and it's finally sinking in.

Well I should go shower now so I guess I'll end this here. [Although I'll probably grab a snack, read the rest of the chapter I'm on in The Scarlet Pimpernel, and then shower, because that's just how I roll.]

And oh god did it hurt. I'll be home soon [I'm grabbing lunch and doing this from my phone] but I felt like doing a quick update. Pictures will be posted soon. :)

Well, I no longer look really blah and drab, which is nice. My hair was long overdue for a cut; it feels so nice to have finally gotten it done!

In not so great news the two friends I was going to take cosplay pics with and who were going to go with me when I get my tattoos [this friday omg] are sick. Yes, both of them. And yet somehow I remain healthy. Crazy, I know. So I'm sad about it, but I just hope they get well soon, as being sick sucks so much.

Now for the long part of the entry haha~
I finally caved and bought The Scarlet Pimpernel. I'd heard of it, then saw it on what_the_fruk, and after not winning it I decided to look for it at my local book store to see how much it was. The girl helping me find it also told me how much she LOVED it and how awesome it was, so I was pretty much sold. xD I also bought Mein Kampf as I'd been considering getting it for awhile, and after watching a documentary about science the other day and finding out about the book From Darwin to Hitler I knew I had to go buy Mein Kampf [and From Darwin to Hitler, if/when I can get my hands on it]. I've also had them order Canada and the Liberation of the Netherlands for me so I can thumb through it as it looks interesting but I can't say for sure yet. [Also I am a total dork and sort of need it haha] I also found a book on the Franco-Prussian war I really wanted, but it was a tad expensive so I didn't. [I also couldn't find the book on the fall of the Berlin wall I almost got last time, so maybe if I find it again and they still have the Franco-Prussian war book and I have a coupon I'll cave in again? idk...] My book store has very few history books on Canada and Prussia, I have discovered. The girl helping me even joked that they need to work on their history section more. xD

So, uhh... MAKING SUGAR COOKIES.

Did you know those things expand? A lot.

Basically long stop short, mum and I put the mix too close to the edge of the pan, the oven caught fire, and the house almost burnt down. Also the local fire department has a good sense of humor and the cookies turned out pretty good.

And yes, the cookies were fine, since the fire was at the bottom of the oven and they were on the top rack. :D burnt around the edges and a touch well done, but fine.

ALSO pictures of the fire truck [because mum and I are losers and she told me to take pics, to which I told her "I already am". She didn't know because I am a ninja.], burnt fire causing cookie drips, and the cookies themselves.

Tomorrow I'm going to get baking stuff, as I'm in the mood to make cookies. Awesome cookies. [I'm thinking Pokeballs and flags. :D] Because I'll have people to eat them soon. :DDD [I LOVE baking but I don't eat cookies/cake/brownies/etc so I don't get to bake often. :C]

On the 29th I'm picking up rainbowmiku to have awesome times with, and then on the 30th or 31st getting prince_alfred for cosplay fun times. On the 1st they're both going with me to get my tattoo and I am still sorta nervous [the pain!] but am super excited all the same...
